' Members of the Federal Parliament representing dairying districts in the Commonwealth interviewed Mr. F. 6. Tudor, Federal Minister fen- Trade and. Customs, and protested against the proposed alteration of the moisture standard in butter and against Government grading. Mr. Tudor, to shew that it was necessary to take action ta-maintain the reputation of Australian butter in the English market, stated that of 476 samples of Victorian butter taken during tho 190S-9 season 63 per cent, contained under 14 per c/>nt.-, of .moisture. The whole'of the 1126 samples taken during the 1909 season showed-that the percentage had fallen to 47. ". BRITISH MARGARINE BILL. London, July 14. '.
