« Tho monthly meeting of the Wellington Centre of the Leaguo of Wheelmen was held at tho Now Zealandcr Hotel, Mr. W. H. Edwards presiding. An ai>plication was received and acc<")tod from tho Britannia Cycle Club, of Gisborno, to become affiliated with the centre, alVw a letter from the Gisborno Atlilctic Club, making application for sot of rules. It is. likely that this club will, in the near future, become affiliated with tho Wellington Centre. '1%0 matter of the test road race cnnie up for discussion. II was proposed to hold the race on (he 'J'rentham course on Saturday, 30th instant, or tho first Saturday in August—that is, providing that the League Council will accept tho nomination of the Wellington representative after the :10th instant, tho day on which entries close for .tho big road race (Timaru to Christchurch). The ! secretary was instructed to write and thank the Wellington Hacing Club, I which has allowed tho cenlre to hold a raco on its coursn at Trentham. tJi) to tho time of holding thv> meeting the centre lias received no reply from the Lraguo Council regarding the limitations of this centre.
