The Court of Appeal has confirmed Mr. Justico Swinfen Eady's judgment in tho case, Do Beers v. the British South African Company. ~ The Do Beers Diamond Company had proceeded against the British South African Company, claiming all diamonds found in Rhodesia. Mr. Justice Eadv in his judgment found that the agreements giving the De Beers Company an exclusive license to work diamond country in Rhodesia wero void.

Brisbane, July 7. The death is announced of Judge Miller, ot the StaU District Court. The late Judge Miller was born in London in 1847, and after graduating at Cambiidge was called to the Bar in 187G, proceeding later to Queensland. He was appointed to the Bench in 1882.
