DOMINION DAIRY SHOW.

AT HAWERA. The cbief features in connection with the Dominion Dairy Show, to be held in Hawera from July 13 to 16', are the dairy produce and machinery sections. ■Entries in tho dairy classes are on an extensive scale, and au imposing display ol these lexbibils in competitions for valuable trophies and prizes should result. Every inch of show space avail able for. machinery exhibits has been booked. Tho machinery bail proved quite inadequate to accommodate all tho exhibits which sites were applies for, and another portion of the buildings was requisitioned. Even then some outside firms (including one that goes in largely for machinery in connection with the dairy industry), were at the tail end of the list of applications for files, and found that all the available stands were already booked. It is possible, however, that a surrender, of rights by intended local exhibitors will be made so as to provide ' accommodation for those from other centres. The foregoing facts forcibly suggest that the Hawera dairy show will be on an impressive scale. In addition to the main features of the show having been so largely patronised, other classes have also nlled well. An attractive and 'highly successful display should be the outcome. The building is now bring pushed on rapidly. Cheap fares have been arranged on tho railway lino from stations corth and south of Hawera, and there should be a largo influx of visitors from a distance.

"I don't think there will bo any trouble at all in the Wnirnmpa next season with the shearers, as some of the runholders are willing to pay £1 per 100 sheep shorn," said a well-known farmer to a pressman. "Already a number of stands have been booked at this rate of wage, and the whole trouble will, in ray opinion, eventually blow over."—"WairaraDa Age."
