■ 0 ("BUSINESS PLACES AT PAHUTUA. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Pahiatua, Juno 27. Shorily after one this morning a firo : broke out in a building owned by Sir. T. C. Williams, Wellington, and occupied by Jack Ping, a Chinese fruiterer, W. I. Husband, land agent, and Abraham and Williams, auctioneers. Tho firo originated in a sitting-room at. tho back of Ping's shop, and extended to Husband's office, doing considerable damage to tho roof, but being quickly, suppressed by tho brigade'. No damage was dono to Abraham and Williams's office, but Pint's stock in the, shop was completely destroyed, and Husband's papers and , of,fice furniture suffered to somo extent. Insurances:—On tho building, ,£BSO in the Liverpool, London, and Globe. On Pins's stock; ,£3OO, in the Now Zealand, X3OO in tho Alliance; on Husband's office furniture- and appliances £lo in the Sun.
