CONCERT AND PRESENTATION.
AT EASTBOURNE. A successful gathering took place at JI'G Hire's Hall, Koiia Hay, on Saturday evening, when the residents i>f Eastbourne entortained their late flavor, Mr. John Barr, and .Mrs. Banat "a farewell "social." A capital musical programme, arranged by Mr. Philip Palmer, preceded tlic presentation of a handsome silver tea service to Mr. and Mrs. Barr, from the residents ai Eastbourne, and a silvermounted walking' stick to Sir. Barr, from the members of the local riflo club. Mr. H. W. Shoiit, Mayor of the borough, presided. Songs and instrumental items were given by Misses -Vitdreiv. Foster, AViggs, aiid AVnnnostad, and Messrs. T. M. AVilford, M.l'., Lewis, "Walker, and the Eastbourne Orchestra, tho accompaniments being played by Mr. I'almer. The proceedings terminated with a very enjoyable dance, t<\ music upplicd by the Italian instrumentalists of.tho Bay, and the Eastbourno Orchestra.
