A PATHE FRERES REPRESENTATIVE. TAKING FILMS OF THE RIVER, (By Telegraph.—Special Correspondent.) Wanganui, June 23. Satisfactory progress is being made with the work of redecking the Town Bridge, and it is expected that tho undertaking will be finished within the nest few days. ' , Local "soccer" players are very hopeful that Wanganui will win the Brown Shield in tile match against Wellington on Saturday wenk. The team chosen is a good one, and the men are training hard. Sir. Barrett, representing Pathe Freres, is at present in Wanganui. The representatives of the local bodies here are holding a meeting to-morrow, morning to see what can be done in the way of giving. facilities to Mr. Barrett to do justice to Wanganni and secure some good films of the town and river.
