CAPITALISTS SAFE.
FEDERAL LABOUR POLICY. NO VIOLENT ATTACKS EXPECTED. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Eec. Juno 19, 5 p.m.) London, June 18. The chairman of tho Australian Estates and Mortgago Company, speaking at a meeting of tho company, said that though the Australian Labour Party's attitude in the past towards capital was not calculated to engender confidence there was no need to feel serious misgivings at tho present position of atfairs. He holieved that tho course of events would entirely falsify the predictions that the new Government would violently attack capital. The Government's attitude towards immigration and defenco was a happy augury that they would follow a wise] and patriotic policy, and do what was best for the Commonwealth as a whole, irrespective of class considerations. [The Australian Estates and Mortgage Company, Ltd., was registered in 1891. Tho company was formed to take over properties, etc., in New South Wales and Queensland from the Union Mortgage and Agency Company, Ltd.]
