IN FIVE FOOLSCAP PAGES. • • : Our Palmerston correspondent states that a resident of Mornington, Dunedin. has sent a letter, covering four or five pages of foolscap, to the Pahnerston Borough, giving reasons why the name of Palmerston North should be changed. It was suggested that the letter should be handed over to the Chamber of Commerce, but Councillor Haydon, who is president of the Chamber, asked to be saved from the infliction. The letter, which suggested that the name should be shortened to "Palmer," was taken as read and received. \
