PROPOSED FOR EMPIRE DAY. hy Teleernph-Fress Association-Oopyrieni London, June 2. King George's desire that his coronation should, if possible, take placo on Empire Day (May 24, and the date of the late Queen Victoria's Birthday) ha sheen well received in Canada and South Africa. Sir George Reid (Australian High Commissioner), interviewed, said it would be a most happy event if the ceremonial were fixed for a day which was more and more becoming associated with the broader aspects of Empire loyalty.
