Seen by a "l'rcss" representative regarding the announcement that on and after Monday the Auckland bakers, intend reducing the price of the fourpound lonf from Sd. to "d., the president of the local Bakers' Association stated that so far the local bakora had taken no steps in the matter, which would probably come up for discussion at the next mooting of the association. It was likely, ho added, that those who indulge in cutting prices would make some move in the matter. The standard price for bread fixed by the association was 6\d. cash or coupons, or 7d. booked for tho four-pound loaf.
