HOLFORD CASE
LENIENCY. Br Toleiraph—Press Association—Coorrlitil. London, June 1. Captain James Henry Edward Holford, who in April last pleaded guilty at the Old Bailey to charges of obtaining tiaras, necklaces, and diamonds, worth several thousand pounds, from various jewellers, and pawning them, was brought before the Court for deferred sentence.
■ Accused was released, but was bound over to come up for sentence if called upon. The Recorder took into consideration the fact that accused had been in prison for some time, also that he had a distinguished record. ,
