RIFLE SHOOTING.

"DAILY MAIL" CUP: WHY NO MORE ENTRIES? (By Tclesraph.-Specinl Correspondent.) Feilding, May 31. In a letter to the editor of the Feilding paper, Mr. E. Wrench, organiser of the London "Daily Mail's" Empire Day Cup, writes, under date April 21:—"] regret that New Zealand lags behind in our list of competitors. At the time of writing I have only received eight entries from clubs in Now Zealand. When one considers that over 100 rifle clubs were circularised in December last, this is not a very brave show, but, nevertheless, I am hoping thai; four more clubs will participate, as I should like to he ablo to send a set of spoons to the club niaking the highest scoro in the Dominion."
