MISSIONS TO SEAMEN.
There was a large aiidiehee- at tho Missions to Seam.cn-Institute on Friday when Mr. James Moore, the missioner, delivered his" ! weekly "talk" on ambulance work. Tho missioner gave demonstrations.: showing how to bandage a dislocated shoulder, and tho methods of carrying and cleaning guifs to prevent accidents. ' He also showed how to treat burns, varicose veins, and gave several, useful hints relating to health matters.. Competitions in . connection with first - aid were held, and won by sailors from ships in port.' ;A- bright musical' programme was submitted by Miss. Colpus, the followinjfcontributing items:—Song (banjo accompaniment), Mr. C Colpus; song, Miss Porteous; club swinging exhibition, Mr. .Levy; song, .Mr.-. Deanh; pianoforte soio, Mr. Wiggins. The performers were accorded a hearty.,-vote of thanks at the conclusion.
