DUKE WHO DESPISES DRESS
The Duko of Norfolk cares , nothing whatever about clothes. Ho is one ofthe most liberal and- kind-hearted men in Britain, as well as one of the least proud, and his tenants call hini "Uncle JSenTy." One day, while on his yacht, he invited the crew of. another vessel to attend llass. Ono of them, on boarding tho yacht, was met by the Duke of Norfolk himself. "Is the Duko himself on board?" asked the sailor. ' "I am he," was the reply. "That I'm sure you've not," answered the sailor, looking angrily at the insignificant little man in front of him. On another occasion the Duke was engaged to distribute the prizes at a convent. Instead of driving to the place, he walked up quietly, and was met in the grounds by the portress. "My-good man," she said, "you ought to know that we ido not distribute relief on a day such as this." - "Quito so, sister," said tho Duke, "but you do-distribute prizes, and 1 have come lo distribute ilieni for you."
