BOYS' CRICKET LEAGUE.
.A-_ concert,,.'in connection with the* Wellington Hoys' Cricket League was given at the Y.M.C.A. .Hall on. Friday; before an appreciative audience. Items were rendered by, Jlisses Ewen, l'eek, Holdaway, Lennox, and'Sewell, .Messrs. Blow, Kelly, Noes, and Peek, and Masters Baker, Sullivan, Holloway, Jennings, and Sewcll. A number of the items were encored. During tho evening, Dr. _W. A. Izard, president of the league presented trophies won during the season, and spoke a fewiwords of encouragement to the youthful cricketers. ' . . v
Trophies wero won as follow grade; cup and.medals, ,Y.M:C.A: Club; Junior grade, cup and medals, St. Aloysius Club; Wednesday competition cup, Telegraph' Messengers' Club. Batting and bowling trophies were secured by -Messrs. C,.'-Bobinson, Murphy, Bowse, Adair, Cunningham, and Marshall. ( . ■
