' —d • The Petone Post Office will bo open on Friday," the day fixed for the funeral of the late King, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. The telegraph office will be open from 7 p.m. till 8 p.m. Letter-carriers will make one delivery, at 7.53 a.m. A delivery will be made in the evening (over the counter) from 7 till 8 o'clock.. The U.A.O.D. (Petone) held their usual meeting on Monday night, Bro. Gray presiding. Correspondence and general business was dealt with. One candidate was duly initiated into the Order. The bards reported four members on the sick fund, and sick pay was accordingly passed for payment. Visitors'to the lodge were Bro. A<lie (Masterton) arid Bro..Effie(New South' Wale?). The Ipdge then adjourned in sympathy with the family of the late King. . • * i .
