Three steamers—the Royal Edward, the Royal George, and the Royal Sovereign—were to mamtain a ten-days' service to Quobec and Montreal in the summer months, and probably to Halifax in the winter months. The ' boats will have a speed of 21 knots,' and wiU possess accommodation for 350 first, -30 second, and 600 third-class passengers. It was recently stated that an amalgamation of the old-established transAtlantic Allan line and the Canadian Pacific Railway Company had. been practically arranged.
