Pedigrco stock imported into Argentina during 1900 ore officially given as:—Cattle: Durham, 655; Hereford, 21; Jersey, 12; various, 83; total, 774. Sheep: Lincolns, 1332; Raratouillet, 32; Shropshire, 92; Hampshire, 87; various, 367; total, 1910.. .Horses': Eacers, 279; Clydesdale. 35; Hackney, 47; various, 207; total, 568. Pigs: Total, 82. Taking the aggregate for 19(19 of 3334 animals, and comparing it with the record year 1906, with 11,097 animals, a striking evidence is' given of how the Argentine live 'stock breeder is gradually becoming less dependent on imported stock.for <*pading-UD purposes. ,
