LADIES' HOCKEY ASSOCIATION.

ANNUAL MEETIKU. The annual meeting of the New Zealand Ladies' Hockey Association was held at the Y.M.C.A. last, night, when there were, present delegates from Wellington, Hawke's Bay, Nelson, Canterbury,' Southland, Wairarapa,-' Otago, Auckland, and Poverty Bay. Miss M'Kellar presided. The-following officers-for the year were elected:—Patron, Lady Dickson-Poynder; president, Mrs. -Russell Grace; secretary, Miss.Mellsop; .treasurer, Miss L. Macintosh; committee,-Misses Keily, M'Keilur, Fleet, Wilberg, Shirtclifr'e, M. Wilson, and Roberts. The vice-presidents of tho association will be elected by the various clubs.

It was decided'that, in lieu of the'annual tournament, as held during ■ 19081909, the New Zealand Ladies' hotkey championship should be decided by means of a challenge cup, to be played for on similar, conditions to those governing- the New Zealand Hockey Association's challenge cup. This resolution is not to apply .to the coming season. It was agreed that the headquarters of the association should be .in Wellington, A motion suggesting the amalgamation of the New Zealand Ladies' Hockey Association'with the New Zealand Hockey Association .was discussed, and lost.

It was agreed that the next tournament should be held in Nelson, and that if eight or more foams compete the tournament should be played in sections, the winners of each.to play oft'.
