Mr. Charles E. C. Dyke has been appointed a. fruit inspector and an inspector under the Orchard and Garden Diseases. Act, 1908. ''Mi.'..]?. L. Barr has been appointed a cadet.in the Treasury Department. The following receivers of Land revenue ' have been appointed:—Auckland, Mr. J. ,H., O'Dqnnell; H'awke's Bay, Mr H. llobinson; Taranaki, Mr. A. J. Rossiter.
Mr. A. H. Mackay has .been appointed registrar of tho Native Laiid Court at Wanganui.
Mr. David J. London has been, appointed a cadet iu ihv Supreme and Magistrate's Court at Napier. A special order made by the Onslow Borough Council in connection with thfe rate to be levied in respect of a loan of £4500 authorised to be raised for waterworks . within the ■ borough appears in the Gazette. Special orders made by th« Waipukurau and Hastings Boroughs appear in this week's Gassotte.
The Bev. John Dickie, M.A., has been gazetted an officiating minister under the Harriage "Act.'
