INSURANCE CONFERENCES.
HEE UNbERWEITEKS tJ MEET. : '" The annval conference' of the Fire Underwriters' Association of New Zealand met in Wellington yesterday, the business being concluded late in the afternoon. The proceedings were not open to the press. It was not decided to raise rates. Mr. James Kirker (general manager of the South British Insnrance Company) presided, and the following offices were represented:— • .
