GAMES ON SATURDAY. A strong, sharp-edged breeze militated against the pleasure usually manifested in bowls on Saturday afternoon, weather that foretold the approaching end of th 3 season. The chief event of the day was the final round of the junior pennants, which inter-club fixture has struggled along to this late date, creating a good deal of interest among the junior players. Excellent progress is . being made with thefilling and levelling of the site for the newly-formed Hataitai Bowling Club, ; whose property, is situated near the first stopping-place on the othiSf side 1 of the Kilbirnie Tunnel, and is therefore quite close to town. Thq club has a spendid membership, and hopes to be playing on the green before next season is far advanced.
