NON-COMMISSIONED OFFICERS CLUB.

' The Executive Committee of the Wellington Garrison Non-Commissioned Officers' Club, at a. meeting held on Friday evening, last, decided to proceed with - the arrangement of the winter programme of lectures. Following upon the resignations of Sergeant-Major .Avery and Colour-Sergeant Griffiths, the positions of honorary secretary and treasurer to the club were filled by tie appointments of Sergeants Hugo and Smyth, of the Zealandia Rifles. The membership of tie clnb Aas reported to be very satisfactory, 120 being now on the roll. It was announced that Mr. Percy Robert, of Palmerston North, had presented a handsome trophy, consisting of a plated tea-service and tray, to be competed for at a handicap billiard tournament to be held in about two months' time. , The committee also decided to hold a euchre tournament and social evening on April 29 next. The matter of a non-commissioned officers' ball is also to be considered.
