A CLUB MEETING. The first annual general meeting of the Victoria College Men'e Common. Eoom Club was held at the College on Saturday evening. Mr. J. McL.'Hogben was in the chair, and there was a good attendance.' .The report presented by the committee stated that the year had been on the whole a very successful one. Several entertainments had been given, all largely attended, while .the "Ladies' Night"-had been the most brilliant college social function of the year. Unfortunately the club had been hampered by the lack of ■ accommodatbii as the college, gymnasium and social hall were not available until August, when, in view .of the . close proximity ~of examinations, > the committee -considered''it would .bo useless to endeavour to obtain a room for the use of the club. ?or the-coming year the Students' Association executive had- already consented, to grant the club'the use of a room, which/would be under the club's control, and had also voted ,£lO towards the furnishing' of it..
