' Tho high-pressure system which has provailed during the past three days has been accompanied by fine weather generally, except in the extreme south,, and gales have been frequent in Foveaux Strait. The present conditions will probably continue to hold sway for about 36 hours, but with freshening northerly winds and a falling barometer in the south.
