THE', FIN ACPREPABATIONS. (By TolCEranh—Snecial Corresoondent.l , ' . Napier, April. 4. Officials and exhibitors are busy on' the show grounds at Hastings to-day getting ready for Wednesday's exhibition. The Hastings and Pakefcapu branches of the Farmers' Union are going to be rivals, in district exhibits, and their representatives. are now hard at work erecting their'stands, while, between them "the Arataki Stats farm has reserved .'the large frontage of 32 feet, Fruit exhibits' occupy more space every year, and this year all the centre stands in the lower portion of the main hall will be occupied by apples alone. -.The caretaker and his assistants are engaged in putting up. the jumps and hurdles in .preparation for the mounted competitions. Judging in .all classes frill commence 'at 1 p.m. to-morrow with the exception of live, stock, fancy, butter, dressed. poultry, floral, and district, exhibits, which will be judged at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, so that, given .'fine weather, there should be .nothing:, to obstruct a perfect day's, outing,,,interesting,, alike, to experts, and' to. holiday seekers.
