•' ■".':;. ■'.:] ; "♦ —— •;; ■; The fancy fair in Sydney Street-'was attended by a--large number of people . yesterday, ,in spite of the extremely unpleasant weather— or perhaps on account , of it, for the'hall has been very effectively decorated, and is pretty and bright 'enough to make one, once inside, forget unpleasant conditions outside. The stalls were well patronised,' arid • the various side-shows provided amusement for many visitors. Sixty children have been trained by Miss Barbara'Putnam in special dances, and these'-were the centre of interest last night. The fair; will bo open till. the.end oftho week.
