BOYS' INSTITUTE GARDEN FETE.

In connection with the garden fete to be held iu tho Botanical Gardens next Saturday, a lot of .hard work on tho part of tho vurious committees is bringing in its own reward in the shape of wholehearted support from tho general public, and there is every indication of the function surpassing' all 1 anticipations of success. The funds of the Boys' Institute will, it is hoped, benefit largely by the result. Intending competitors are particularly requested to send in their entries for the various competitions by next Tuesday night, so as to admit of their inclusion in the printed programme. Three bands will be in attendance, and an excellent concert programme, in addition, will be given gratis durisg the' afternoon. Tho reports of the committees all show excellent progress, and tho success of the venture is now- assured. j
