ANNUA! MEETING. . The fortieth annual general meeting of the - Wellington Football Club was held in the Hall, Lambton Quay, last night, 1 and proved ; an enthusiastic gathering; Mr. N. Galbraith presided, and there were over 50 mem-, bers present. The annual report and balance-sheet were adopted. Mr. J. Murray was elected. a life member of the club, the chairman and several members making reference to the excellent work ho had done in the capacity of club captain. . Votes of thanks were accorded Messrs. 3?. N. Abercrombie (lion, secretary) and John Thompson (lion, treasurer) for their work during the year. It was decided to commence practice. matches on Saturday, March 12. The election of officers resulted as follows President, Mr. T. S. Eonaldson; vice-presidents, Messrs. 'Q~ C. Fache, J. P. Firth, N. Galbraith, V. E. Metedith, J. Eman Smith, 0. Kember, J. Murray, F. J. Pownall, A. T. Bate, J. Barnham, and Dr. H. J. Mlean; club captain, Mr. D. Weir; hon. secretary, Mr. T. H.. M'Lean; hon. treasurer, Mr. John Thompson; management committee, Messrs. A. B. Wilson, H. J. T. Hume, F. N. Abercrombie. G. F. M'Kellar, N. Irons, F. Turner, an<{ G. H.
