The Presbyterian Orphanage, at Brooklyn has only been opened- for a 'few months, but already there are nineteen children in it, aud many more, applications for admission than it will'be possible to grant, so that it has been decided to seek larger quarters, and the committee in charge of' tho "orphanage are looking for some .suitable place, with an idea that they may possibly have to build one. So far, the institution has been generously supported by the public, members of .other denominations as wyi as Presbyterians, for the home 'takes in children of any church, and it is not expected that there will be difficulty in. supporting a larger home. No subsidy is received from the Government, which thinks it has granted subsidies to homes enough.
