Rowlands, ' the New Zealand walker, won the three-miles handicap walk at Glasgow in 21ciin. 39 l-Ssep.—a Scottish rcoord. At the same meeting R. E. Walker, the South African, ran 120 yards in 11 3-ssec. and 150 yards in 14 4-6 sec. . • [E. E. Walker in July won tho 100 yds cham. pionship at Stamford Bridge' in io seconds beating Carfcmell (United Statos) and Kerr (Canada). v In Johannesburg in December Walkor was credited with 120 yds. in l-ssec. less than his present time; There are two 11J second performances on record (Seward and M%lone). For 150 yards Hutchens was credited in 1887 with 14i seconds. At the Johannesburg meeting in December it was reported that Walker did 100 yards in 9 2-ssec.] ■
