The monthly meeting of the Wellington Accountant Students' Society was held last evening, when Mr. A.' S. Bias lectured to a good audience on ' Investigation of a Concern on behalf, of an incoming partner;" The lecturer wont into tho subject very'fully, and, On tho motion of Mr. H. D. Edwards, was accorded. a vote of thanks. Mr. Biss, in acknowledging the compliment,' mentioned that tho progress of the Wellington Society was watched with considerable interest by. the profession throughout New Zealand, and there could bo but little doubt that tho creditablo way in which inorcdntilo accounts were being kept in Wellington must bp attributed in a large measure to the influence of tho society.
