Proceedings at the meeting of the Napier Hospital Trustees yesterday revealed .some internal trouble in connection with- the management of the institution. ■ . . Mr. M'Grafh said that members were all aware of the friction existing, and would like to spo the matter, ventilated •in open board. He did not'oaro ajotif the whole staff were cleaned out, lock, stock and' barrel, but they (lid not want 'any unpleasantness existing among their employees. He had attended a meeting at the hospital a few days ago, and had 1 never heard such ■ a lot of imaginary grievances' in all his ■ experience. Thoy were like a,lot of children'quarrelling over dolls.
Mr. Shrimpton (chairman) stated that certain evidence had been tendered, and he disagreed with Mr. M'Grnth in thinking, that the.charges wero frivolous. There werecertain mutters to be cleared up, aiid, though the question was ."of public import-: ance, he thought that it would be wiser to discuss the report in committee. Mr. M'GratlV dissented, but a motion to that effect was .carried. . ~
