An interesting professional tournament was held on the altered course of the Littlehampton Club. A stroke competition in the morning resulted in a tio between James Braid, tho. open champion, and J. H. Taylor, with 73 each, the local man, George Pannelh and Ernest Gray, taking 77 and 78 respectively. Taylor was out in 35 to Braid's 38. In a foursome in the afternoon Braid and Taylor, after, standing two down at the third, beat Gray and Pannell by 4 and 2. Mr. H. E. Taylor, of Richmond, gained another victory on the last day of the Cannes Club's spring meeting. He won tho gold ecratoh medal with 78. The ladies' scratch medal fell to Mrs. W. S. Brindlo, after a tie at 78 with Miss Moseley. ;An interesting match, by four-ball foursomes in the morning and ordinary foursomes in the afternoon, was played at Ranelagh on April B,' when the club was opposed by a side organised by Sir Henry Seton-Karr.
