HOSPITAL NURSES.
. QUESTION OF A PROMOTION. At yesterday's mooting of the Hospital Trustees, the question of the resignation of four nurses from the institution was brought up and dealt with in committee. At the conclusion of the meeting, the chafr'man, the Hon. C. M. Luke, Baid that the names were Nurses Pooto, Westoby, Wilkinson, and Craig. They resigned because Nurse Wilson had been appointed a sister. They considered they should nayo preference before a junior in service. The fact was that the promotion had been made on the recommendation of. the medical superintendent. The trustees were always guided in this matter by the recommendation, of this officer, who, doubtless, in conference with tho matron, made such recommendations as he thought proper.' Mr. E.
