'Dio Salonika correspondent of the "Daily Mail" reports that Talaat. Bey, vice-presi-dent of tho Chamber, secured Abdul Hamid'B signatare for tho withdrawal of funds from foreign banks. Somo reports mention, tho transfer of two millions, ■ Talaat failed to obtain the keys of two, strong rooms in the Yildiz Palace.' The officers guarding the residence of the ex-Sultan at Salonika thereupon oompelled - Abdul Hainid to surrender tho keys. [A cablegram dated April 28 stated: 'It is said that the deposed Saltan has an immense fortune of ,£50,000,000, whioh he has.;invested abroad. It is expected that this money will bo confiscated by Parliament, and utilised in placing the finances of the country on a sound basis.]
