Gordon (N.S.W.) boat Misses Trovers and Gray (N.Z.), G-4, 2-6, 6-4. In tho ladies' singles, Miss Baker, >(N.S.W.) beat Miss Nunnoloy (N.Z.) after n fine gam©, 6—3, 4—6, 6—3. Miss FovrdroJl (N.Z.) boat Miss Lee 6—2,' 6-0. The Council of tiic Lawn Tennis Association discussed at great length, proposals relating to tho management of tho Davis -Ouj matches in Australasia. Tho following resolutions were carried:— That this association is agreeable to the appointment of a soparato council representing the States of the Commqmvealtl and New Zealand for tho purpose of ar ranging, sanctioning, or controlling international matches; that tho number of delegates to such council shall bo on a proportional basis calculated on tho .respective populations; that while ."Australia , witl: Now Zealand" is regarded-for the purposes of such' contests as a separate nation undei the Davis Cup conditions, the profits be reserved; for international matches; that ii' tho event of any alteration of tlip regula. tions for tho international lawn tennis championship so as to constitute Now Zealand c separate nation, no such alteration shoulc become operative while Australasia remain! as at present the champion nation, anc nothing should affect ' tho present positior ofMho Australasian Association; that regulations governing such couucil should;- : b< agreed on by the Australasian Associatior and the New Zealand Association.
