The only child of Mr. anil Mrs. Nowtoniioyd, or Kolimui, who was badly scalded last Monday, died on Wednesday trom tho result of its injuries. Tho funeral took place- on lhursdny aftornoon. A friendly watch was fired off at Horooka on Wednesday lust betweon teams representing the Pongaroa and local Bide.Clubs The ranges wore 200, 500, and COO yards, and although tho wind was a bit tricky, some good sllootinx was doiio, Pongaroa eventually winning with a total of G4l points, against 505 put up by Horoeka.
