This was won IJJ J. I'. Wilson Irani scratch, tho distanco being one- and a half miles, on tho Hutt Park, i to■ tV" cr 9 up . Scnled Handicap was won by i. \\. Dement. LamUerg gained first place, securing a trophy presented by Mr. A. ]*. Whyto, who also granted tho club tho use of the course. A Four-Milo Handicap at Lower Hutt was tho fourth event, and ended in a inn, from scratch, for F. Wilton. Tho club championship was decided at Miramar on September 12, and drew a record entry. First honours went to W. Press, who has been a consistent trier for a number of seasons past. JI. Mulcahy huishod second, and tho Sealed HanniP . in conn<;ct i o n with tho race fell to C. liowoerry. Tho last run of the season was held front tho residence of tho elub president (Mr. W.'H. Bennett), and at its conclusion members were entertained by Mr. and Mrs Bennett, and. trophies won during tho season were presented. Tho club was successful in retaining possession of tho Whyto and Mackay bhield for tho Annual Teams' Hoad llace, being represented by Messrs. Press, Bennett, Finn, and Williams. J. p. Wilson secured the trophy donated by Mr. C. D. Morpeth for most points scored for attendances and runs-in throughout the year. At tho provincial chammeeting on tho Basin Keservo on Now dear's Day, half-mile and milo championships wero won by M. Mulcahy of this club. At the first New Zealand Marathon race, which was held at Auckland on March G, tho Wellington Centro was represented by. M. Mulcahy and F. Wilton, both members of the Wellington Harriers. Owing to the event being held during tho club's otf season neither man was in his best form, yet 'nevertheless they wero able to finish tho distanco of thirteen miles, Mulcahy gaining tenth and Wilton fifteenth place. The thanks of tho club are duo to tho folloidng for donations and trophies:—Messrs. W.TI. Bennett, C. 1). Morpeth, A. E. AVhyte, and tho ' Kev. G. P. Davys. To Mr. S. liobinsou for tho use of room for committeo meetings, and to Mr. W. 11. Pollock for hia services as handicapper. Attendanco badges wero awarded to tho following five men, each of whom attended every run:—C. S. Johnson, R. O'Flaherty, C. Kowberry, P. A. Wilton, and F. Wilton. The balance-sheet showed a credit of £3 15s. Gd.
