The Minister for Railways (the Hon. J. A. Millar) says his idea of a' railway station is one that gives facilities to tho men working on it, and plenty of good platform accommodation. Ho did not approve of tho, erection of palatial buildings, simply for people to look at. This was in answer to a suggestion made to Mr. Jlilhir that when lie next visited Invercargill lie would bring with him plans for a now station.
