Last niglit's audienco at tho Opera House was not less enthusiastic than that which saw her first appearance. Mr. Edward Nable, as lchabod Bronson, Mr. Loder as tho sanguinary lunatic, Mr. Leslie as tho ccccntric JJlinky Bill, Miss Scott as Fifi Fricot, with other members of tho coinpany, mado a highly pleasing impression. The opera concludes its courso to-morrow night. THEATRE ROYAL. Tho excellent series of moving pictures now being shown at tho Theatre Royal attracted ' another largo and demonstrative attendance last evening. To-night they will be repeated for tho last time, and a complete change of 1 programmo will bo given to-morrow. CHERNIAVSKI RECITALS. It is difficult to speak of the Cherniavski boys excopt in superlatives. Tho concert which they gave in tho Municipal Hall last night confirmed tho remarkable impression which they created by their previous series of performances. Tho wonderful oxecutant skill which makes mcro difficulties of technique as nothing to them is not more astonishing than tho passion and understating by which their playing is distinguished. Tho audienco which assembled in the Concert Hall last evening was quick to appreciate tho unmistakablo genius of the young performers, and most of their contributions to the programme wero rapturously applauded and encored. Tho first item, a trio by F. E. Bachc, was admirably fitted to display tho quality of the young musicians in a variety of phases. Goltcrmann's violoncello conccrto (first movement) was played by tho small Mischel in a way which roused the audience to enthusiasm, and in response to their insistent encore 110 played, with beautiful tenderness and sweetness, Schubert's lovely "Wiegenlied." Jan, tho pianist, played a nocturno by Chopin with subtlety and charm, and, bracketed with it, a lively "Valse Caprice," by Mr. Maughan Harnett. For an encore he gave a prelude of Chopin. A violin concerto of Ernst was interpreted .by Leo Choniarski with groat vcrvo'aml spirit, and a charming old French "Bagatelle," in quiet contrast, was greeted with deserved appreciation. For final items the brothers appeared together in tho bracketed trios, "Kol Nidrei," a grave old Hebrew melody, and tho sparkling "German Dance" of Schubert. They had to return times, and bow their adieux before the audienco would let them depart. Madamo Mario liooton, tho contralto of ■ the company, who was in good voice, sang 1 Bohm's "Still Wie Dio Nacltt," with fine expression, and for an encoro the quaint triple, , "What do Summer Fairies Do?" In tho • second part she sang an old English song by 1 Arnd, "Tho Lass with tho Dclicate Air." 1 Mr. Percival Driver played her accompani- ; ments with judgment, and sang sev- ; eral songs with his fine baritone voice, . Mr. Bransconibo accompanying. They wero . Valentine's song from Gounod's "Faust," . which was admirably sung, and tho well- , known "Because" (Guy d'Hardelot). For > an encore to the lattor, Mr. Driver sang j "Lovo's Coronation" (Aylward) in a plcas--1 ing manner. From first to last tho varied ' programmo was enjoyable in the first dc- , greo. : The Ohemiavskis can give only two more 5 concerts in Wellington—to-night and to-mor-j row night. There will'bo a'complete cliango . of programme on each occasion. The oppor- . trinity should not bo lost of hearing these 1 gifted performers.

We need hardly remind playgoers that tho box plans for tho first' six nights of tho season of Pollard's Juvenile Opera Company, which commences at the Opera Houso on Monday night, will be opened this morning at Holiday's. There is almost certain to lie a brisk demand for scats, as. not only are the niece and the players popular, but , the novelty of sitting in a dress circlo or ■ orchestral stalls seat and witnessing modern musical, comedy for the sum of three shillings is a strong drawing card in itself, and is certain to be appreciated by lovers of light amusement. TOWN HALL ORGAN. Tho concluding recital of tho series for which Mr. Maughan Burnett was engaged by tho City Council will bo given to-morrow night. Mr. Harnett has mado a selection' from tho most popular pieces in his repertoire for the programme, and these will includo Rossini's "William Tell Overturo," Lomaro's Andnntino, Wolstenholnio's " Tho Answer," and tho celebrated "Rido of the, Valkyries," by Wagner.
