COMPENSATION COURT.
(B? TELEGItAFH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Christchurch, October 28. A. Compensation Court, consisting of Mr. Justice Denniston and Mr. Hugo Fricdlauder (representing tho claimants) and Mr. M'Kcrrow (representing the Public "Works Department), will sit in this city on November 4 to deal with tho claim of tho owners (Messrs. R. M. M'Donald, D. M'Farlane, and F. A. Archer) in respect to tho site in Cathedra] Squaro taken by tho Public Works Department for the purpose of a site for offices for several Government Departments. The owners claim £26,300, whilst the Department is understood to have offered £16,000. On November 6 tho same Court will consider the case, Clegg v. the Ministor for Public Works, a claim for £7450 in respect to the site required by the Department for the purposes of a branch post offico at the corner of High and Tuam Streets.
