POST AND TELEGRAPH REGULATIONS.
•Tho following .alterations in the Post and Telegraph Classification regulations are gazetted:—Clerical Division—No person shall do eligible for appointment to the Department if, when the question of his eligibility arises, tureo persons uelonging to his rtamily are already officers of the Department. The' expression—Females vill be admitted ns cadettes, but mother, and their children. Non-clerical Division—Females will be admitto das cadettes, but they will be appointed only to such vacancies as are suitable to females. They will belong to the non-clerical division only," but will be required to produce tho certificates prescribed for cadets in the clerical division. The age for admission for females is botwecn sixteen and. tv.enty-five years, but women not above the age of forty years may bo appointed, to tho non-clerical division if they have for a term of two' years previously been continuously employed'by the Department as postmistresses or in any other capacity. Not more than three persons of the same family shall be employed in the Department at ono time (see Clerical Division). Not more than one daughter in a family shall bo eligible for appointment as a telephone exohange cadetto. Married wouien are not .eligible for appointment, and females must resign when, tliej - marry. The Governor, during tho period of probation, may at any time dismiss any cadetto from the Department for any' reason which may be deemed sufficient.
