OTARIA ROAD BOARD.

The tisual meeting of the Board which should have been held on Saturday, May 11, lapsed for want of a quorum, the day being very boisterous. A meeting was held on Saturday, May 25th, when io was decided by ballot that Mr James Templeton, and Mr James Catto, were the retiring members of the Board. The nomination of candidates to fill the vacancies was fixed to be held on Thursday, June 13th, at the Waikaka schoolhouse. Messrs D. A. Tolmie and- James Scott were appointed to wait upon the Southland County Council at its next meeting, as a deputation from the Otaria Road Board and settlers to urge that the Council take over the two road-lines within the district. There was no other business.
