It was moved by Mr Gordon, and seconded by Mr Nelson, that Mr Thomas JJain be instructed to construct two new desks for the school at a cosb of two guineas eacu. — Carried, ' It whs resulved to cull for tenders for -erecting about 33 chains of sod and wire fencing, coutractor^ to iiud all material^ aso leaders for delivering four tons of coal at the sehoolhouse, the coal to be carted either from Pukerau railway station or Maiaura bridge. . Une or two stnail accounts were passed for payment, and tho meeting adjourned.
