CLUTHA D. STRICT ROAD BOARD.
* A meeting of the above Board was held Til Warepa on February 17, 1877. There were present : Messrs Sandilands, Dalgleish, Lawson, and the Chairman, The minutes of previous meeting were I'ead and confirmed. Copies of objections against assessments were laid before the meeting. — Resolved that the Chairman and the Valuer attend the Assessment Court in answer to such objections. A letter from Messrs Haggitt Bros, and Brent, on the matter of right of road through Finnegand Swamp was read, and the Clerk was instructed to inform Mr Shaw of the Board's decision. Resolved — That the Chairmen of the several Road Boards within the Count}' be respectfully invited to attend a conference at Warepa on Saturday, April 7, at 1 p.m. j The following accounts were passed for payment : — South Molyuoux Board, £3 I 10s 4d; Clutha Leader, £5 Is; Day-work, J £11 4s ; Chairman, travelling expenses, £2 10s 6d ; Fynmorc, 12s 6d. The meeting then adjourned.
