SOUTH MOLYNEUX ROAD' BOARD.
4 . The ordinary monthly meeting of the South Molyneux Boad Board was held in the Board's office) Port Molyneux, on Thursday;. 22nd February* There were present 1 Messrs D> Hendei\soii (Chair-* man), Christie, Ironside, Smith* Steven, and Paterson* A letter was read from James Miller, Port Molyneux, requesting the Board to make the block road to his property passable for traffic. Resolved that the Clerk call for tenders to remove the fence on Mr-»Shiels' pro* perty. Mr M. M f Lay tendered his resignation to the Board as member for the Ahuriri sub-division. Resolved that Mr M'Lay's resignation be accepted, and that Mr Daniel M'lntosh be appointed a member in room of Mr M'Lay, The Inspector, along with Mr Johnston, was also instructed to get Hie culverts repaired on Irekeka road, Puerua sub-divi-sion. The f olio wing tenders for contracts were opened : — Contract No. 109, Puerua subdivision, George Bain, L4l 19s ; Charles Fraser> L 45 17s 6d > Allison and Dobson, L 67 9s, George Bain's tender was accepted. Contract No. 110, Port Molyneux subdivision. — Robert Wilson, L 25 ; George Balloch, L 26 19s ; Mitchell Abernethy ; L2B ; Edward King, L3O ; James Miller, L35 15s ; Robert Douglas, L 35 6s ; George Bain, L4O ; Alexander Ledingham, LSO, Robert Wilson's tender was accepted. Contract No. 111, Waitepeka subdivision. — There was seven tenders. Robert Wilson's (the lowest) was accepted: Clearing flax, Is 6d ; bush, 8s ; ditching) 8s Gd per chain. The following accounts were passed for payment : — Joseph Walker, LlB 9s ; Clutha Leader, LI 3s 6d ; Edward King, L 9 ; Peter Abernetliy, Lll 10s '; Robert Shiels > L 23 ; Charles Wilson, L 5 325 ; James Miller, L3B 2s ; Allison And Dobsottj L 39 17s ; Robert Crews, LlO ; Robert Craw* ford, L2O ; Page and Thornton, L 6. The Inspector was instructed to examine the culvert on river-bank road, near Mr Steven's, and to report at next meeting. The Board then adjourned.
