TOKOMAIRIRO FARMERS' CLUB.
— « A meeting of Committee of the Toko* mairiro Farmers' Club was held in the Secretary's room, Milton, on Friday last. There were present : Messrs Duthie (in the chair), Gordon, Inglis, Murray, Paton, Lindsay, and Fraser k The following accounts were passed for payment :— Rent of Volunteer Hall, £1 ; Soutter and Gray, £3 14a 4d ; Bruce Herald, 4s. Tenders were read for the supply of silver medals, from G. Young, Han-op and Neill, and J. Hislop. G. Young's tender was accepted, for medals same as last year, at 24s each, and 2d per letter for engraving. Mr Fraser moved that any prize-taker have the option of taking money in lieu of medal. Seconded by Mr Inglis. Mr R. Murray moved, and Mr Gordon seconded, an amendment that the matter be brought up at the annual meeting. The voting was equal, and the Chairman said the rule for chairmen voting in such cases was to leave the matter as it stood. He therefore voted for the amendment. Mr Gordon thought the Chairman should have voted like Vincent Pyke. — (Laughter.) The Secretary said ho had seen Mr W. Miller with reference to the entry money for sheep at the 1875 Show. Mr Miller stated that he had paid the money to Mr Murray, but would be willing to make the Club a present of it if they were not satisfied. The Chairman said they did not Avant a present in that way. Mr Murray said he was not near the sheep that year, and he did not receive the money. The Secretary laid his resignation before ■ the Club. ■ After conversation, it was allowed to lie on the table until next meeting* The meeting then adjotirnedv \
