Shunter Run Over By Train And Killed

CHRISTCHURCH. Dec. 22. A man was killed when he was run over by an engine at the Middleton railway yards at 7 p.m. yesterday. He was William Thomas Allan Wardle, aged 29, a shunter employed by the New Zealand Railways Dept. He lived at 10 Kewshaw Piace, Richmond, Christchurch. , . Mr. Wardle was engaged m ffiunting at the yards and was standing on the xailway line with r,nother man.
